Corrections

Every correction, dated.

When the Record gets something wrong, the fix is published here and on the record itself, with the date and what changed. Nothing is quietly replaced.

No corrections have been issued yet. This page exists from the first day of publication rather than appearing after the first mistake. When a correction is issued it will be listed here, newest first.

How corrections work

A correction is recorded against the record it affects, with the date and a note describing what changed. The earlier value stays visible in the record's history rather than being overwritten, and the correction is listed on this page.

Status history is append only, so a status recorded in error remains in the history with the correction alongside it. That is deliberate. A record that can be silently rewritten is not a record.

To report an error, write to contact@datacenterrecord.org with the record and the source that shows the correct information. The full process is on the methodology page.
