Data center laws in Illinois

No statute, commission order, tariff, tax rule, moratorium or bill on data centers at the state level has been published to the record for Illinois yet. County and city rules are on the scorecard of the Illinois page.

Rules in Illinois

When a bill is introduced or an order is issued, it is drafted from the legislature's or the commission's own text and published here after a person reads it. Local rules, county and city ordinances and moratoriums, stay on the Illinois scorecard.

A law here is one statute, utility commission order, tariff, tax rule, moratorium or bill at the state level. What it requires is taken from the text, never summarized from coverage; a date the text does not give is left empty. Its status is one of five, defined on the laws index. The dated events beneath a law are the scorecard entries that cite it.

Bills tracked

29 bills tracked in the Illinois legislature: 5 signed into law, 24 in committee. A row opens its own page, with its history, each recorded vote and the legislature's own text. A resolution states a position and does not change the law.
